Hannah’s Journal to Be Happy

Meet Hannah, a 15-year-old straight-A-all-the-way teenage girl who keeps a to-do list in her hip pocket and is driven toward personal achievement. Hannah is a writer, a sister, a best friend to Alfred, and most notably, not happy.

That is until Alfred has Hannah meet with Coach before heading out to the sleepy town of Terre Haute for the summer. There, she and her brother, Ben, spend time with their dad and his girlfriend, Lucy.

After meeting with Coach, Hannah comes to Terre Haute with two assignments, which are:

·      Scrap her to-do lists

·      Use a journal to record when Hannah feels angry and unheard.

As the summer unfolds, everyone learns something—on the tennis court, in the kitchen, through a family book group, and more. The most important lessons, though, are what they learn about themselves, and it all begins with Hannah’s journal.
